How the pilot works

Day 1 — pilot starts

Charge: 2× the monthly rate, billed upfront. No card-decline drama, no day-30 surprise. You have 60 days of full Slate OR.

Day 61 — auto-converts

Subscription transitions to monthly billing at the regular rate. Cancel any time before then via the Stripe Customer Portal — no charge, data deleted within 30 days.

Is there a free trial?
No sandbox-style trial. Every plan starts with a 60-day paid pilot at the production product — all features, your real schedule data, no demo-mode caveats. The closest thing to free is the beta partner program above: six months free for the first 5 practices, in exchange for feedback.
Can we cancel?
Yes — at any time, end-of-period via the Stripe Customer Portal. Your data is deleted within 30 days of cancellation. Practice-tier customers under annual contract are billed for the remaining term but the cancellation itself is unilateral.
What's the difference between the pilot and the beta partner program?
The pilot is the standard 60-day paid onboarding for any new customer. Beta partners are a small cohort of 5 practices we're taking through launch — they get a free six-month pilot in exchange for committing 3–6 months of historical schedule data and ~30 minutes a month of feedback.
What if our group has more than 5 locations?
That's Enterprise territory. Email us — pricing scales with locations, not with a step-function jump, and we'll quote based on your size.
Do you sign Business Associate Agreements?
We don't typically need to — Slate OR receives only de-identified appointment metadata, so under HIPAA Safe Harbor (45 C.F.R. § 164.514(b)) we are not a Business Associate. If your compliance team prefers a BAA as a belt-and-suspenders measure, we'll discuss.
